Car photography plays an essential role in the world wide marketing of the automobile. The artists in this exhibition straddle the world of commercial photography and fine art by entertaining the viewer with intense artificial lighting. Most of the work in this exhibition takes advantage of long exposure times to establish certain moods in the works. Artificially lighting an automobile requires a tremendous amount of equipment. While much commercial product photography is completed in a studio, elements of creativity must be brought to the table when shooting something that requires a large environment. The demands for the understanding of studio lighting and intensive post processing are great. Through the understanding of the fine art world we begin to see similarities between what we know as "art" and commercial images. The artists complete this task in different ways, some are more abstract and others are uniform, but all are impressive to the eye.
