This body of work derives from a three month exploratory road trip covering the western United States, Canada, and Alaska. The series documents Evan’s extraordinary encounters with the world as seen through his camera. What was initially meant to be an exercise in creativity, dexterity, and isolation turned into a journey of self discovery.

 

The automobile is a fundamental aspect of Evan’s everyday life. In this series Evan explores how having a unique automobile influences the people met and experienced had on the road. The vehicle used for the 3 month long trip was an Audi RS6 Avant, a rare, high performance wagon with many one-of-a-kind modifications.

 

The adventure was not completed without conflict. Evan is faced with the tragic death of two friends early on into the trip. While several minor hiccups present themselves throughout Evan’s travels, perhaps the most significant hurtle is the unexpected breakdown of the Audi while deep in the Yukon Territory of Canada.
